The Town Hall in St Mary's is being restored and extended to create a fantastic heritage and cultural hub for the islands. Find out more about this ambitious project which is being managed by the Council of the Isles of Scilly. When construction and fit-out are completed, the Town Hall will be handed over to Scilly Arts & Heritage to operate as a not-for-profit, charitable business.
In its new home at the Town Hall, the Museum's fascinating collections will tell the stories of the islands' maritime, social, industrial and natural heritage.
The Hall will host touring theatre company and musical performances, film nights, craft fairs, talks, discos and a huge range of community and cultural events. It will be available to hire for private celebrations.
What a place for a cafe, overlooking Porthcressa Beach!
On the top floor of the Town Hall, overlooking Porthcressa Beach, the Observation Room will be a space for adult and family workshops, smaller meetings and museum activities.
